COVID-19 Update - 25 March
North Canterbury Vets will be managing all companion animal emergencies and health issues from our Culverden and Amberley clinics. These clinics will be staffed every day from 8.30 to 5.30 by a small team of staff. We have several small teams that will rotate through the clinic and will be isolated from each other to try to ensure should the infection enter our staff we can still continue to serve our clients.
Please do not arrive at clinics without contacting us first. We can and will work to best look after your animal health issues but we need to assess every case prior to your arrival at the clinic.
If you need animal health advice or have an emergency with one of your pets or working dogs’ please contact one of our clinics for how to proceed. A nurse or vet will discuss the problem with you and advise whether to bring the animal to the clinic or whether a phone consult may be adequate.
➡ No clients will be entering our clinics during the lockdown period and drop off and collection procedures will be advised once the appointment has been made.
➡ We will be offering phone and possibly video consults if it suits clients better.
➡ If you are unwell or have had contact with COVID19 but need assistance, please contact us and we may be able to arrange pet pick-up or other means to assist.
➡ We will be requiring payment by eftpos, credit or proof of online payment. No cash payments will be processed.
➡ We are able to supply our usual pet and working dog foods, flea, worm products as well as other products by arrangement. Our Culverden and Amberley clinics will have reception staff during working hours, and they can arrange product to be left at pick up zones at the clinics. In some cases, local delivery will be able to be arranged.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any enquiries. We are happy to help to facilitate the health and wellbeing of your pets and working dogs over this difficult time.
